I'm gonna run to you... in platforms.

Just found a few minutes to do a small post before I leave for the summerhouse. I ordered some items from Evans the other day, as I simply couldn't resist their awesome SALE any longer. Just wanted to show you guys what will be in the mail for me soon:

Blach double buckle platforms £10 (previously £35!)

You might remember me mentioning them before and back then they were £20. I really can't wait to get my hands on these babies, as they will be great for adding some edge to summerdresses, but will also rock with a pair of socks in the Fall!

White leopard print tee £7 (previously £12)

It says in the description that it's oversized, which I hope it is. That will work great as a basic top for hot summer days.

Black jersey pencil skirt £10 (previously £25)

I don't own any pencil skirts and I don't know if I can rock one, but since it was so cheap I decided I had to give it a go!

Spot cross back tee £7 (previously £12)

Just another cute, basic tee. It has a back detail with a small cross, which makes it just a little different. I was planning on pairing this with the pencil skirt.
Red peeptoe ballerinas £7 (previously £15)

I've also mentioned these before and now they were so dead cheap that I couldn't resist buying them any longer. Perfect basic ballerina that can add a touch of colour to an everyday outfit.

So all in all I paid £46 with delivery and saved £58! Pretty good if I do say so myself. I'm excited to receive all items and review them for you guys. I'm way behind on reviewing other stuff, too. But now I have summer holidays and hopfully a lot of free time.

Stay tuned for more after the weekend and enjoy your summer until then. Oh, and hurry on over to the Evans SALE and make a bargain!

Summer break

Sorry you guys, I know I haven't posted in a really long time. I'm having a short break after my exams, and also I have some work to finish off. Wednesday-Saturday I'll be enjoying a small get-away with 3 of my girls in my parents summerhouse. I promise I'll update soon! (Also the new picture uploader is bugging me)

I hope you're all enjoying yourselves in the lovely weather that most of us have.

P.S. I got fantastic grades on all my exams, so I'm extremely happy with that!

The pic is from 2007 when I was in Australia.
It was taken somewhere along the Great Ocean Road

I'm a winner!

Oh yaayyy! Just found out that I'm the winner of the blue dress from the Jasiferlionsclub giveaway! Am soooo happy, especially since I won a pair of wedges from another blog a few months back that turned out not to be my size, so I gave them up for another winner (and they were gorgeous!). I was hoping for the blue dress if I won, so I'm extremely happy. Thank you so much Jennifer!!!

Femme Fatale Giveaway

The lovely Sabina of Femme Fatale is hosting a giveaway on her blog. It's in German though, so if you don't live near Germany you can't participate, but pay her blog a visit anyway - it's full of great beauty tips, make-up experiments and reviews. To enter I have to answer a few questions and post them on my blog, so bare with me - they are in German!

Die Fragen:

Seit wann liest Du ‚Femme Fatale’?

Wish me luck everyone! And remember to check out Sabina's blog, she does posts in english, too.
Thanks Sabina! xoxo

Celeb Inspiration #1 - Amanda Seyfried

Amanda Seyfried is an american actress, known from movies like "Mean Girls", "Mamma Mia" and "Dear John". She's 24 years old and her style is simple, but gorgeous. On the red carpet she usually wears a colour that pops with black accessories and up-do's that are very 40's-50's inspired. In private she's very casual and wears jeans, tees and flats, flashing her long, blonde, flowy hair.

Even though she's a tiny girl, I think she's beautiful! That's why I've attempted some outfits that are inspired by her style, but will fit us plus-sizers and are on a fair budget... let me know what you think in the comments, please. It's the 1st time I've tried something like this and I'd like to hear your thoughts.

In bed with Fontane

Aren't we just the cutest couple?

Sorry you guys, I'm totally M.I.A these days due to my final exam in German Literature the 21st. I have 800 pages to read and analyze, so I've got a lot of work to do! I'm hoping to do a somewhat more interesting post on Sunday, as I might have changed my hair... we shall see... I won't reveal too much at this point, but I'm very excited as it will be a drastic change, if it happens. Stay tuned!

Also I wanna give a shout out to all my lovely followers: Thank you so much! You really make my day, especially when you comment. When I reach 50 followers I will have a small giveaway and at 100 followers a bigger one - so please keep recommending my blog!

I've changed my design today, it's not my own, but I still haven't found the right one for me... and I don't know how to do one myself. But all in time, I'm still new in blogland. I would love to hear from you guys though; what can I do to make my blog more interesting to you? Do you want more OOTD's, more topic discussions, more personal stuff? What tickles your fancy?!

Sigh, better get back to reading Theodor Fontane.

Musical inspiration

3 songs to make you feel good!

From the musical "Hairspray"

We should all love ourselves and our curves! Have a great weekend, ladies.

Girls just wanna have fun

Last night my friend Nina took me to see Sex and the city 2 as a birthday present. I've seen the series and also the 1st movie, which wasn't a big hit in my eyes. But I really liked this one. Is it gimmicky - Yes. But who cares? Fab outfits, funny lines and some cute guys, yes please. The audience made the experience even better. All the laughing, screaming and happy girls and women totally made my night and Nina and I got really carried away, too.

This is what I wore to go see the movie. I tried to pay a little tribute to Carrie by wearing the big flower and heels, haha. Gotta get in the SATC spirit, right? And the jeggings are the Evans Light Grey Acid Wash. They are amaaaazing and I love them. Perfect fit.

Headband: Pieces
Top: Yours Clothing
Jeggings: Evans
Heels: Evans
Ring: H&M

My favourite scenes from the movie were Liza Minelli's performance at the wedding (and OMG I want that show choir at mine!) and the girls singing karaoke. Also the appearance of Aidan. Team Aidan!!! I won't reveal too much, if some of you guys haven't seen it yet. But go see it with your girls, rock some heels and have some drinks. Perfect for a great Girls Night Out!
