---------------------------------------------------

As you've probably discovered by now, I was invited backstage for the Carmakoma show and event during Copenhagen Fashion Week. I was basically a part of the team and also attended the rehearsal of the show the night before. I had a really good time and it was lots of fun, as I'm already friends with some of Carmakoma's own models. Now I had the opportunity to meet some other models, and they were all such nice (and really pretty) girls! I'll definitely be staying in touch with some of them. The team behind Carmakoma also consists of some really nice people, so I felt right at home from the start. The atmosphere was relaxed all the way through, and being behind the scenes made me think back on my days in amateur theatre and musical theatre. But especially on the second day, the day of the show, I could sense a little shift in the atmosphere a few hours before it all went down. The nerves were starting to appear in places, all while the smell of the fresh flowers for the show mixed together with the scent of make-up and hairspray in the air. The models, the designers, the choreographer and everyone else involved, were anxious and excited. Everywhere you looked, there were girls with their iPhones, for everything had to be photographed, new friendships had to be established on facebook, and the styling had to be documented on instagram. The models took their turns in the chairs for hair and make-up, while the designers Heidie and Angelica ran around to check every single detail. They were involved with every step of the process, and they weren't shy of kneeling in front of the models to apply body lotion to the legs or adjust the garments. There was always room for a smile - "remember that this is a party" I heard Heidie say several times. "We're gonna have fun!".  And we did - see for yourselves on the pictures above! It was so hard to choose from the hundreds of pictures I took during the past two days, so I'll make an album on my facebook page once the weekend's over. But before that, there's also a post about the magnificent show itself for you to look forward to!
