Carmakoma's "I Picture You // You Picture Me" Statement Show

With my gorgeous friend, model Kecia Lie, in make-up before the show (wow, my hair looks red in this light!)
The always stunning Line Mckay Mikkelsen
Model and stylist Cecilie Eline rocking Beauty Ink's make-up look and Goocha's hair styling
Kind of in love with this ombre lipstick - and it looked awesome on Line
Stunning Cassia DeMayo in make-up
Showtime! Orshi, Line and Malene on the "runway" in the middle of Copenhagen Central Station
The beautiful Orsolya "Orshi" Papp was such a power house in the show, amazing to watch!
Carmakoma are big on size diversity, and the show reflected their body positive attitude wonderfully
Models Line and Kecia revealing their statements at the end of the show
Line McKay Mikkelsen's favourite quote was so good!

The audience was free to take all the postcards after the show. Great way to spread the positive vibes and keep as a souvenir.
This was Cassia DeMayo's favourite quote, and it's spot-on.
Backstage after the show: Models Jani and Malene were in good spirits!
Designer Heidie was happy and proud after the show, and flew into the arms of the models Majken and Eva K.
The dynamic duo that is Carmakoma: Angelica Weiss and Heidie Lykke, applauding their team and models after the succesful show.

An amazing show took place at Copenhagen Central Station yesterday. Carmakoma, teamed up with the danish NGO against selfharm and eating disorders, were showing their gorgeous autumn- and winter collection on models sizes EU 36-48 (UK 8-20). With my mom at my side, I stopped by backstage to have a peek and say hello before the show. Goocha was once again in charge of the hair, which was sleek and had a nice shine to it, and Beauty Ink delivered amazing make-up in the shape of lush eyelashes and ombre lips (which I definitely will have to experiment with at home). Despite being totally crowded by photographers, journalists and bloggers front, left and center, the girls were in high spirits and were excited for the show. There's been an amazing energy all through this process, rehearsals and all, and it was so good to see, how involved everyone was. As most of you know, Carmakoma design clothes for women sizes EU 42-54 (UK 14-26), but they're all about diversity in the fashion world. That's why they once again wanted to make clear, that all women, no matter their size, are beautiful and deserve awesome clothes. Not just clothes they can fit into, but fashion. That's why yesterday's show was a statement show, where they not only celebrated the female body in all its varieties, but also focused on high quality design. One of the things I love most about Carmakoma, is that they aren't afraid of taking chances. Not when it comes to their clothes, nor when it comes to their shows. The choreographer Mille really put the models to a test, but despite little hiccups here and there, it was a badass choreography, and I loved the militant look that was present in both the choreography and styling of the girls. The way the audience got involved was also pretty rad. At the end of the show, the girls opened their suitcases and revealed what was inside: each suitcase carried a quote which represented the model, so that they literally and figuratively were carrying their message with them. That we got to see a bit of their story gave a depth and personality to the show, and reflected the intentions behind it. I think it was beautiful, as it encouraged people to think and take a stand - especially because you were invited to take the quotes home on postcards afterwards. That way you carry the message with you, and you make sure to spread it and pass it forward after the show. Just like a good movie, with a great plot or storyline, that you can't quite let go of, even after it has finished. I think that the entire team delivered a great show, where the message stands out and lingers on: As women, we need to use eachother as mirrors, and not the ideal created by the media:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good news: Karina from Copenhagen Curves and I, are going to be on danish TV this Sunday. It's a show called "Good morning Denmark", and it's obviously in danish, but I will post a link to the segment afterwards, if you would like to see the outfits we're presenting. We're bringing three models, and as an ending to Copenhagen Fashion Week, we'll be talking about the fashion trends this spring, and will also discuss the danish plussize industry compared to the international one. It's very exciting, and we're really looking forward to it!

Tune in this Sunday the 2nd at 11.41 (am) on TV2 if you're in Denmark

I wish I was wearing... #Ladylike in Coral

Ladylike in coral
Blue Skinny Jeans: New Look Inspire // Animal Print Wrap Shirt: Dorothy Perkins // Coral Boyfriend Coat: New Look // Neon Heels: Asos // Necklace: Galibardy // Bag: Faith @Asos // Lipstick: "Cyber" MAC // Nailpolish: "Glitzerland" OPI

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This week's dream outfit is a bit more chic and ladylike, but as usual with a twist - I still need some quirk after all! Coral and pink are some of the biggest colours this spring and summer, and why not break them in already? They will brighten up this dull and grey time. I admit that the heels aren't exactly snow-friendly, but you could easily replace them with a pair of cool biker boots for instance.
How are you using colours to brighten up your winter months?

Wasted Youth

Cardigan: Zizzi (gifted for review) // T-shirt: eBay // Skirt: Primark // Tights: Zizzi // Boots: River Island // Hat: H&M

Parret med min nederdel i imiteret læder, sorte tights, cut-out støvler og hat, var jeg good to go.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's my outfit from Saturday, where I hug out for the rehearsals of Carmakoma's fashion show. We were at The Danish National School of Performing Arts, and I felt transported back in time, to when I was doing musical theatre and singing in choirs and bands, which is why I couldn't help but have my pictures taken in the amazing settings. I was wearing my new cardigan from Zizzi, which will be in stores soon, as well as my new t-shirt from eBay. You can find so many cheap and funky tees there, and this one had a cool message and print, so it went in my cart. The cardigan has quickly become a favourite, as it's so comfortable and nice to wear. It's warm enough for wearing it inside, but it still let's you breathe, and I love the zebra stripes! Paired with my faux leather skirt, black tights, cut-out boots and hat, I was good to go.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've spent the weekend with 20 gorgeous ladies, who will all take part in pushing boundaries during Copenhagen Fashion Week this week. This Thursday at 3pm under the clock at Copenhagen Central Station, there'll be an amazing pop-up show - and everyone's invited! Carmakoma has planned a statement show with the danish NGO against selfharm and eating disorders, titled "I Picture You / You Picture Me", where models in a variety of sizes will showcase Carmakoma's autumn- and winter collection, while bringing attention to healthier and more realistic body ideals. This weekend was filled with rehearsals both Saturday and Sunday, where the girls had to learn the amazing choreography and get fitted in their outfits for the show. It was really nice once again taking part of the production up close, and I'm so excited for the final result. The clothes are fantastic and edgy as usual, the models are hot, and the choreography is one of the strongest I've seen in a while. It's gonna be so cool! That's why I strongly encourage you to stop by, if you happen to be in Copenhagen on Thursday. In the pictures above is a sneak peek at what's gonna go down, and hopefully they also portray the good vibes of this weekend. I had some amazing days, and it was so good hanging out with some of my gorgeous friends that are walking in the show, as well as strenghtening the great bond and the collaboration between Carmakoma and I. Thursday can't come soon enough. See you there?

#AcceptNoRules - win tickets to see Zizzi's Show during CPHFW

I wish I was wearing... #Get your grunge on

Get your grunge on

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At the moment I'm dreaming my way back to the 90's and I'm inspired by the cool grunge- and gothic vibe of the decade. I've updated the look a bit, by adding an oversized flower crown and flatform sandals. Now all I need is an episode of "My so-called life", and I'll be good to go. I'm getting kind of nostalgic here.

I wish I was wearing... #Rose Gold Sneakers

Kind of Marant

ASOS Rose Gold Flatform Sneakers // New Look Limited Edition Necklace (now sold out) // MAC "Rebel" Lipstick // Deborah Lippmann "Candy Shop" Nail Polish

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Despite the fact that winter seems to have arrived in Denmark, I'm still dreaming of wearing this outfit. I'm so in love with the rose gold sneakers, and the outfit kind of reminds me a bit of something inspired by Isabel Marant. But maybe that's just me? Anyways, I'm allowed to dream despite of the weather (and my finances) not allowing me to do more than that!

I Think It's Going To Rain Today

Coat: Vintage // "Bayford" Tunic: Carmakoma (gifted for review) // "Alessia" Bodycon DressLAB|27 by Carmakoma (gifted for review) //
Tights: Primark // Cut Out Platform Ankle Boots: Asos // Hat: H&M // Rings: Glitter

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I simply love this outfit that I wore to my sister's birthday on December 26th, but haven't been able to photograph until now. My mom gave me this coat, and I love it so much. It's faux fur, but really good quality, and I use it quite often at the moment. It totally glams up any outfit! The tunic and the dress were a gift from the lovely ladies at Carmakoma, and the tunic is on sale right now! The dress is from the amazing LAB|27 collection, and it fits perfectly. I'm not usually good with bodycon dresses, but I actually also love wearing this one with a big cardigan for a more casual look. And then there's the amazing shoes, that I had had my eye on for quite a while, before finally snatching them with a 30% discount code before Christmas. Despite them having a high heel, they're really comfortable to walk in, as they have a high platform, too. I'll definitely be using them in many future outfits.

I wish you a great Sunday, and if you're based in Denmark, remember to enter my giveaway right HERE
