I wish I was wearing... #Spring in the City

Spring in the City
Love Top: Carmakoma // Drape Jacket: JUNAROSE // Floral Shorts: New Look Inspire //
Gold Sandals: New Look // Sunglasses: Ray-Ban // Quilted Bag: New Look

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On days like these, where the weather is so lovely in Denmark, I'm dreaming of wearing outfits like the one above. Nothing says that summer is coming, like pretty colours, golden details and floral print. They may have promised cooler weather again, but let's hope that the sun returns later this spring!

You're so hot I gotta look at you with my Ray-Bans on

Suede Waterfall Jacket: JUNAROSE (gifted showroom sample) // Striped Dress: 17 Sundays (gifted for review) // Platform Boots: old Asos (similar HERE) //Pink Bag: old Gina Tricot (similar HERE) // Necklace: old Glitter // Sunglasses: unknown

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's a nice outfit from the other day, where I was wearing my new dress from 17 Sundays. It's a casual t-shirt dress, but I felt like dressing it up a bit, so I wore it with my suede jacket from JUNAROSE. With hot pink details like the bag and the lippy, as well as the statement necklace, the outfit was good to go. To give it a bit of an edge, as you know I love, I wore my chunky platform boots, instead of a typical heel or wedge. Voila!

The dress is named after one of 17 Sundays' favourite bloggers, Suger Coat It, by the way. How awesome is that? I wouldn't mind having a dress named after me!

{BEAUTY} Deborah Lippmann Limited Edition Spring Reveries

Left to right: Spring Buds // Flowers In Her Hair // Blue Orchid // Tip Toe Through The Tulips // La Vie En Rose // Build Me Up Buttercup

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The days have gotten longer, and the sun has begun to shine, as Spring has sprung in Denmark. That means that I feel a sudden urge to get out, leave my black clothes behind, and wear one of this season's biggest trends: pastels. My nails are no exception to this, and Deborah Lippmann's latest collection is perfect for the job, as it contains six different pastel colours - which means there's something for everyone. My favourites are without a doubt the baby blue "Blue Orchid", and the mint green "Flowers In Her Hair". I think the others will catch up though, as soon as my tan improves, and I'm already picturing wearing a mix of the colours on my toes. I can't wait for summer and sandal weather!

As an added bonus, I can tell you that Deborah Lippmann's polishes are free of formaldehyde, toluen and DBP (Dibutyl phthalat), and they are not tested on animals. They are long-wearing however, and the entire Deborah Lippmann range also contains amazing glitter polishes, which are super popular (my favourites are the Mermaid polishes).

Which shade is your fave?

Note: The nail polishes were gifted for review, but the opinions are, as usual, my own.

I've got one hand in my pocket and the other one is giving a high five

Denim Jacket: monki // Black Hoodie: Gina Tricot (similar HERE) // Printed T-shirt: DNY (gifted for review) // Tube Skirt: DNY (gifted for review) // Sneakers: Nike // Bandana: ebay // Sunglasses: unknown

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's a really casual outfit from when I was in Odense during the Easter Holidays. Especially on Sundays, I love being comfortable and wearing my sneakers. But comfortable doesn't necessarily mean wearing old sweats! I recently started collaborating with the danish brand DNY, and they have some great pieces. Their collection spans wide, and even if everything isn't my cup of tea (as is pretty common for all of us!), I do think they have some nice things. I've especially fallen for their casual, yet cool basics, like the tee and the tube skirt above. Tribal print and black/white is in style right now, and you can never go wrong with a black mini! Both items could easily be dressed up with a nice blazer, a statement necklace and a pair of heels. I love things that can be worn both ways! This time however, to complete my casual Sunday look, and to make it extra street, I wore my black hoodie and my new oversize denim jacket from monki, which I use with everything at the moment. It has the perfect 90s vibe!

How do you dress on Sundays?

PS: I've seen navabi carry some DNY, but not much, and I haven't yet found another international retailer, but you can contact info@marc-lauge.dk to find out more, until I do.

{LOOKBOOK} Zizzi Pre-Summer 2014

Here's a look at Zizzi's pre-summer lookbook 2014, which they call "Trendy Tribal & Festival Chic".  What do you think?

I especially adore the printed shorts and the pink blazer, but am loving the styling in general, as it's cool, eye-catching and modern. I can totally see some great pieces for this summer's music festivals, and can't wait for the stuff to hit the stores soon. Make sure to also check out the video with the gorgeous Denise Bidot below!

Double Up: 17 Sundays

Sweet Ride Boyfriend Blazer: 17 Sundays (gifted for review) // LA Afterglow Tee: 17 Sundays (gifted for review) //
Skirt: old Primark (similar HERE) // Heeled Boots: old Asos (similar HERE) // Hat: old H&M (similar HERE) // Lipstick: Maybelline 916 "Neon Red"

Husk at tjekke Karinas indlæg ud HER.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's been a while, but Karina from Copenhagen Curves and I, haven't entirely given up on our "Double Up", and this time we're focusing on the australian brand 17 Sundays. If you've been following me for a while, you'll know that I've been collaborating with 17 Sundays since 2012, where I also met the designers in New York for Full Figured Fashion Week. And my love for them and their design has only grown since. In the new collection I've especially fallen for the print as seen on this blazer, and on Karina's skirt. Besides that, I love how casual cool 17 Sundays always are. They truely reflect the laid-back australian attitude, which I instantly fell in love with when I was backpacking Australia in 2007. And since I haven't gotten the chance to travel back there anytime soon, it's nice to have a piece of Aus in my closet!

Remember to check out Karina's post HERE.

I wish I was wearing... #On Wednesdays We Wear Pink!

Wednesdays
Real Leather Jacket: JUNAROSE // Pink Dress: boohoo plus// White & Black Sunglasses: Whistles @ Asos //
Frill Socks: Asos // White Backpack: New Look @ Asos // Sandals: Asos

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"On Wednesdays we wear pink!" is one of the most quoted lines from "Mean Girls", and it suits my mood perfectly today. I really wish I was wearing the outfit above, and I think that the colour combo black/white/pink looks amazing together.

What about you - would you wear pink the edgy way? There are links to everything under the picture!

I want to live where the storm meets the ground

Maxi dress: Manon Baptiste (gifted for review by navabi and the Lemon Experience) // Necklace: Stig P. // Heels: New Look

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's the amazing dress that I picked from navabi as a part of their blogger campaign "Lemon Experience", which you may have noticed if you follow me on instagram (@stickysweetdanish). The dress is by the designer Manon Baptiste and has a really nice and heavy cotton quality. I love that it has a short skirt underneath, and that you can play with the longer layers on top, which is exactly what I did the other day. It turned into a right mini shoot, and even though I'm definitely not a model, it's fun to shoot different pics once in a while. I chose to style the dress simple, but elegant, with a statement necklace and heels. The edit doesn't show, that I also had red lips and red nails. It's a very classic approach to such a dress, and for summer I also see it with flat sandals, an oversize hat and sunglasses - and a cold glass of white wine or Sangria on a porch somewhere.

How you love is who you are

Jacket: monki // T-shirt: Gina Tricot // Skirt: H&M // Wedge Sneakers: Jette Riis // Rings: H&M // nailpolish: OPI "Malaga Wine"

Især, hvis man lige falder over noget fedt!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's my outfit from Monday. The whole thing proves, that it sometimes pays off to visit "regular" stores and try on clothes, even though they don't exactly match your usual size: The jacket is an L from monki, the t-shirt is a (small) XXL from Gina Tricot and the skirt is an M from H&M. I'm definitely not saying that you have to squeeze into clothing that's too small for you, just so you can fit a certain brand, or because you shouldn't acknowledge your true size, but I do think that browsing regular stores and trying on stuff you like can be rewarding! Right now there's plenty of oversize stuff out there, and that leaves a bit of room for curves - so don't be afraid to try on clothes that may not be your actual size!
